Animate a photo into a short video
Turn an image you already like into a few seconds of movement, with the camera move and subject motion you describe.
You will end with: A short video clip that keeps the subject and look of your original image.
1. Start from an image you like
Either create one now or open a finished image from your account. The image is the reference for everything that does not move: subject, light, composition.
2. Switch the outcome to video
Choose the video outcome, then keep the animation reference attached. The description now means "how should this move", not "what is in the frame".
3. Write one or two motions
Slow push in, steam curls upward, calm.
Camera moves that read well: slow push in, gentle pan left or right, subtle handheld drift. Subject motions that read well: hair or fabric moving, water rippling, clouds drifting.
Avoid listing everything at once. One clear move looks deliberate; five competing moves look unstable.
4. Create and wait
Video takes longer than an image. You can see that it is still creating, and the clip is saved when it is done — you can leave the tab and come back to it.
5. Adjust without losing the start
- Retry for another take of the same motion.
- Animate this again with a different camera move to keep the subject and change the motion.
- The original image is never modified by an animation attempt.
If the clip drifts from the image
Shorten the description. Describing the scene again invites a redraw; describing only the motion keeps the frame you approved.
